Air Boat Tour
I recently took an air boat tour near my home in Florida. It's a very touristy thing to do, but I had a great time. With my brother and his wife visiting, it seemed like a good oportunity to try to get some good photographs. Captain Scott at Airboat Adventures gave us a good long tour.
3D Rendering
Over the last several years I've learned a bit of 3D modeling and rendering using DAZ Studio. This has especially taken off with the advent of Nvidia Iray. My modeling skills are still fairly rudimentary, but I find that a lot of skills in producing 3D scenes translates directly from photography. I mostly do Sci-Fi and Fantasy renders.
Meadowlark Gardens
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia. Lots of local flora and fauna can be seen among lakes, forests, and walking trails. It's is also a a favorite location for weddings and receptions, so it's not unusual to come upon one when you visit. In addition, Meadowlark Gardens hosts photography and other outdoor events.
HDR
High dynamic range (HDR) photography is created with multiple exposures with different shutter settings to pull more detail from the shadows and highlights than would be possible with a single protograph. A bit of surealism is often created by the photographer in post-processing, but this is not necessarity always the case,
Tokyo
I've been to Japan twice on business. Each time I've managed to sneak away and take some interesting photographs. These should all from Tokyo, but it's possible a few from Okinawa have snuck in.
Infrared
I haven't taken any infrared photos in a while, but I'd really like to get back to it. I've sold the D80 I used to take these, but I've been considering getting my D300 converted. It's not like I'm doing anything else with it. It really does produce some interesting photographs.
